“@innis.e.k These came in yesterday. I tried #clothdiapers when my son was 2mo old. He was too tiny, so the leg wasn’t snuggly fitted and the diaper leaked. I bought second-hand 5cover and 40 inserts, and had to resell them all. Now he’s 19mo old and has rashes, it’s great(?) time to try again. I wanted new ones because of the rashes and this #lilhelperdiapers is one of few people who offer trial version. Given the fact that many “starter pack” cost me over $100 for what-may-not-work for-my-son, this small trial package is great option to have. And the thrill I flet when I found that these cuties don’t need the water-consuming preps! That came altogether with the convenience of just one washing. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE their charcoal inserts. They’re so soft that I immediately thought that using this to my son is RIGHT. I won’t do clothdiapering overnight until I order the overnight inserts and liners. He’s a serious pooper, like 5 times a day. Now I know this works for him, I’ll order more and replace my pamper. #loveit”
So… you’re still asking, “Why Lil Helper Cloth Diapers?”
Let us tell you a lil’ more about ourselves… Lil Helper Cloth Diapers was founded in 2009 by buddies Mohammed Gandhi and Nader Abu El Samid. Both met in Ryerson University, Toronto while studying for their undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering. Both these nerds also have a master’s degree in aerospace, which they occasionally use to impress people. You can read more about these guys here.
Apart from providing parents with a greener alternative to disposable diapers, Lil Helper also started the Baby Do Good program, which gives a brand 1 brand new cloth diaper to a family in need for every 3 diapers they sell. It is their way of evangelizing parents to sustainable diapering practices.
The small team at Lil Helper is continuously striving to improve their products and services. They document their journey on their blog. The blog also serves to give customers a peek into the working of bootstrapped company.
